The Merchandise

DVDs // CDs // Manga // Artbook // Novels // Misc // Shopping Links

This is a comprehensive list of all Mttk (Someday's Dreamers) merchandise I could find. Sometimes the information maybe sketchy but it's all I could find and/or translate. Also, the images are in varying size as I wanted to optimize the images as there are few good images out there. Most images are taken from the sites that I found the merchandise on. Any errors please email me and I'll gladly correct them. Lastly please excuse any spacing errors, I shall fix them at a later date. I hope you enjoy perusing the list. ^_^

Novels

In this section, there are currently three novels. Cover designs by Yoshizuki Kumichi. All three are written by Yamada Norie.

Mahoutsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto Primal

Primal     A l etter which Yume wrote to Mr. Oyamada after she finished training and returned home to Tono. This is the "original form" of "Mahoutsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto" that Yamada Norie wrote herself.

That's pretty self explanatory. ^_^ The book is 219 pages long.

Retail Price: ¥857 ($7.26)

Volume One "Recollections of Summer, Empty, and a Girl"
volume 1

This is basically another version of Yume's Training with Oyamada sensei. One of the stories seem to be similar to the episode where Yume has to find the inheritence money. The book is 220 pages long. Produced by Fujimi Mystery Library.

Retail Price: ¥500 ($4.25)

Volume Two "The Dream of a Midwinter Calm"
vol 2
Yume is in a slight slump so Oyamada sensei is given permission to go on a small vacation. (Asumingly) while there, Yume decides to help this girl out in finding a independent film that was done a long time ago. This book is 219 pages long. At amazon this book is currently out of stock.

     Retail Price: ¥500 ($4.25)

Misc. Items

From March 2003 to June 2003, a fair was held at every Gemazu! store all over the country dedicated to MttK. One lottery ticket per item purchased was given to those who purchase MttK-related goods during the fair. The lottery ticket gave a person a chance to win a grand prize. the winning number was announced on Thursday, June 5, 2003. There were two prizes, the first being Miyazaki Aoi's (Yume) autograph. Three people won this. The second prize was Yoshizuki Kumichi's (Artist) autograph. Three people also won this. Various items were created specifically for this fair. Also, to the extent of the miscellaneous items, I'll be categorizing majority of them based on where you can buy them online.

Clear File
Clear File
This was given out at Comiket 2003 at the Pioneer LDC Booth. Only 1,000 of these were made. Definitely a collectable.

Broccoli

Card Case
Metal Card Case      Simply put a rather simple business card case. White with the series logo on the lid.

Price: ¥ 950 ($8.08)

Clear Poster
Not too sure what a clear poster means. I dont think it's a big one tho. No specifications were listed on the website.

Price: ¥ 950 ($8.08)

Picture-mounting duplicate original picture
I have no idea what that means. ^^;; I guess a duplicate of one of the artist's original images in a nice looking picture frame. This one costs a pretty penny.

Price: ¥5,150 ($43.80)

Chara-ani.Com

Telephone Card 1
Telephone Card This is a limited edition telephone card from chara-ani.com. I'm not too sure whether or not chara-ani.com ships internationally.

Price: ¥ 1,500 ($12.75)

Telephone Card 2
Telephone Card      This is a regular edition telephone card.

Price: ¥ 1,500 ($12.75)

Poster (Variety)
Poster Example     Although there are six options on the website. All but two are sold out (including the picture here). The posters are 'A2' size, aka 420×594mm. The first four are from the anime while the last two, and still in stock, are from the manga.

Price: ¥ 2,000 ($17.00)

Mousepad
(Variety)
Mousepad Example    Although it seems as if the mouse pads are out of stock, I am still listing them. Given the same six image options, these mouse pads are 190×220mm in size. 100% polyester on one side, 100% rubber on the other side.

Price: Unkown (as cart option is not available)

Mini Tapestry (Variety)
mini tapestry
     Once again this is given the same six image options as the previous two. However, it is available for the last two image options. The size is 540×390mm and they are made from 100% polyester. These are rather nice compared the to the mini bamboo tapestries you can find for sailor moon and dbz. ^^;;

Price: ¥ 3,200 ($27.22)

Re-Raise Cel
Limited Edition Cel      Apparently these are special recreations of the original cels. From what I can understand, the anime was not done by normal cel painting and was all or mostly digital. Certain scenes were hand picked and recreated. The original cel items were sold via membership lottery. However, if view for MttK items via this link, there are some different cels for sale by regular means.

Prices: ¥10,000~¥20,000 ($85.09~$170.19)

Madoka Japan

Madoka Japan specializes in selling anime cels. They have a different selection than chara-ani.com does. There also a slight more variety in characters. A few Angela and even some of Oyamada sensei. Some of the nicer cels are sold out but there are still a few good ones.

Price varies: ¥10,000~¥20,000 ($85.09~$170.19)

Animaxis

Postcard Set

postcard set of 3

I can only assume these will be the postcard images used for the limited edition dvds of the North American release. The images were made with watercolor. Currently sold out but animaxis is usually good about getting some more stock in.

Price: ¥ 450 ($3.78)

Cell Phone Strap
This is an adorable lil cell phone strap. Alas like most cute objects, this is currently sold out. Click on the image for the full view.

Price: ¥ 950 ($7.99)

Mage Ring
Mage ring (male)     From site:
This is a neat ring that were used by the main character, Yume Kikuchi.
The "Ring" is the distributed item from the Department of Sorcerer Labor Control that works as their ID, and it has the crest of the Department of Sorcerer Labor Control on top. In the anime, Yume had the individual crest of the Dolphin registered in this ring as well. If you have watched the anime, this is one of the item you probably wished to have it for yourself!
Also, if you look the inner-side of the ring very carefully, you can see the light engravement of "Nihon Naikakufu Mahou Roumu Toukatsukyoku" (Japan Cabinet Office Department of Sorcerer Labor Control) as well.
It comes in a clear plastic case.

Size: Size 16 (US size #8) for MEN.
Material: Probably Stainless.

IMHO, this is a rather ugly looking ring and does not look like any of the ones in the series. I do not like the fact that this was made for men only. Animaxis suggests for women to use as pendant. ¬_¬

This item is also out of stock.

Price: ¥ 1,800 ($15.14)

Shopping Links

Below are sites that I found that contained Mahou Tsukai Ni Taisetsu Na Koto items. Majority of them are japanese only sites. So I've linked directly to the category of MttK. Anything in parentheses indicate which items they offer. You also can search ebay but 99.9% of items there are just the bootleg dvds which I do NOT reccomend.
